The Great Northern Trade

Canada: I bring you gifts of Ketchup Chips, Dill Pickle Chips, Nibs, Swedish Berries and local coolers (7% alcohol fyi).

U.S.A.: You bring me gift of big bottle of Valentina.

Fact: Valentina is from Guadalajara, Mexico.

Question: Why is the U.S.A. trading Mexican products?

(Thanks for the GIANT bottle Joyce and yes, everything is in French in English. See! It confuses you too!)

    Who...wha... did someone say VALENTINA?????????

    Sorry, was momentarily distracted there.

Whenever I find mexican products here, they're always imported from the US too. It's so weird to see a Chiles Chipotles Del Monte imported from the US.

I guess it has something to do with customs regulations. I suppose the Europeans/Canadians prefer importing "exotic" stuff from safe-bet places? Or maybe it's just cheaper.

    Fned.

I love valentina on my popcorn, hahahaha, that must mean that I have assimilated.
I met a Canadian lady today, I think she had a French accent, it was weird, the accent, not meeting a Canadian.
    regards,
    Theresa

I can't speak to your ending question in regards to Joyce, but here in Chicago, I do most of my grocery shopping in the Mexican grocery stores. Stuff is LOADS cheaper there!

If you were to look into my kitchen cabinets & fridge, you'd swear you were in Mexico....
